"We loved staying at The Athens Gate Hotel because it’s very centralized, within walking distance to the Acropolis Hill and Museum, Plaka and great selection of restaurants, modern style. The hotel rooms and Roof Top Restaurant offers fantastic views of Athens historic sites and are rooms are clean and comfortable beds and soft bedding. Definitely would stay again!!!"

"Such a great location! We could easily walk to many of the historic sites. Also lots of shopping and dining options nearby. The front desk staff were fantastic! The room was clean, comfortable and convenient. It was also great to have breakfast included."

"The hotel name is justified by the incredible view. Even if you do not get a room with a view, there is a rooftop eating and sitting area that is spectacular. Do not miss the evening view of the Acropolis from the hotels rooftop. Be sure to include breakfast to get a feel for some Greek delicacies while you enjoy the rooftop view."

"Good value for a central location. A normal 3-4 star hotel. Easy walk to all the sights and plenty of local restaurants . Nice gym. Sauna took too long to heat up to be useful . Subway very accessible "

"Great place to stay! very close to the acropolis and easily walkable within 20 min to areas like monastiraki, psirri, syntagma, and plaka, as well as easy access to the metro. Lots of options for dining nearby and corner stores. Room is on the smaller side but ok since there’s so much to do outside the room. Laundry facilities and ability to organize taxis at front desk easily. Occasionally loud on the street at night with music and the walls are thin so you can hear people out in the hall very clearly. "
