"The property and views are beautiful - the room, however, was OK. No shower curtain, no hot water. They have a small fridge in front of the sink, so it's difficult to wash dishes. Door knob was broken and you had to put it back on if you wanted to exit the room. The gentleman running it is older and I understand that he probably can't do a lot of maintenance on the property. "I have never felt so at peace as you do at this stunning property. The views are amazing, the grounds are beautiful and house one of the best we have stayed in. The kayaks also made a wonderful addition to the house with the beach being so close. Kostas was very kind and knowledgeable, we loved the olive oil that he brought us.

Thanos, Nick and their assistant John were very helpful, giving us suggestions and information.
We were 7 adults and 2 kids and fit perfectly in the house. My wife, I, and our 2 kids had our own little section of the house with the kids on the bunk-beds.
There are many small, quiet, beautiful beaches in the area, free from tourists.

"After a challenging 12 months we needed time to rest and recover. Villa Fairytale delivered in every respect. The property is designed to make the most of its location overlooking the Gulf of Evia. The open plan living area looks out over the mountains and sea as does the pool and terrace. We spent hours getting lost in those views!

"Our family of 4 had a lovely stay at villas Alilea. The house fits the description and Alexandros and his mother offered a warm welcome. "Loved the property! The home overlooks the water and is on the hill above a small Greek village that has many great restaurants and cafes and a small beach area. The infinite pool is what sets this house apart from all the rest. Anne, the owner of the house, I just cant say enough about the communication and all the information she gave us for our stay. We were a family of 14. And this house was perfect! I would come back in a heartbeat!"

"Overall, a very good stay in a lovely hotel with amazing staff and lovely views.
Pro's;
Very cheap hotel and what is on offer greatly outweighs the price.
The staff are incredible, anything that was requested was adhered to and offered everything they could to help.
A lovely pool and jacuzzi available at all times.
Lovely views.
Great location away from the hustle and bustle but with shops, bars and restaurants within 10 minutes walk.
Very nice sized rooms for the price paid. Very efficient air con.
Cons;
If you're not into walking the hill up to the hotel can be a bit much, we were fine with it, but i would recommend a quad or a car if you struggle with steep hills.
No breakfast or food options, but enough amenities around that this isn't an issue.
The greek sanitary system (not the hotels fault, but due to other inconsiderate families constantly flushing toilet paper down the loo, our bathroom flooded which was rather unpleasant, but the staff were amazing in how they dealt with this)
Pro's outweigh the cons but a landslide and the staff are an asset to the hotel. We had an amazing stay and if we ever come back to Skiathos we wouldn't hesitate to book here again, maybe just in a different room due to the ignorant other guests. "

"Fantastic stay at Elivi. Facilities were fantastic and the hotel grounds are stunning. Impeccable buggy service around the grounds. Upgraded when we arrived and had our own pool. The restaurants were great, only negative was that the restaurants were very empty for dinner but that was more because it was end of season. Only criticism was that the bars by the beaches closed at 6pm and we wanted to sit with a drink and watch the sunset but no bars open. Again, think this is different in peak times. Overall, fabulous stay. A little expensive but fully worth it for pure luxury and relaxation. "

"I booked this four-star hotel for a week to celebrate my Wedding Anniversary. I am sorry to say it is not four-star and everything is old and it needs a total refurbishment. All the public areas: breakfast room- lobbies- corridors were not air conditioned because the nasty Manager would not switch it on in 40•C!! We and all the other guests could not eat the very poor breakfast in the hear. Everyone was sweating in the very sunny and unbearable room. Manager yelled at me because I complained. Everyone was afraid of the arrogant manager who only yelled and banged doors instead of switching in the aircon! I was made to pay in full before arrival-€1,400 - so I could not leave. Many tourists came out with hives over their body due to the terrible heat in the Hotel. Pool is dirty and ladder and tiles broken. Hardly any sun beds or umbrellas.
Bar man won’t serve drinks and was very rude. Only four persons to staff a large four star hotel. We were totally disillusioned . I think the surly manager writes all the positive reviews!
AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE! "

"Lovely stay with lovely staff. Enjoyed the whole thing and would recommend Strawberry Pension. Only criticism is poor communication before arrived as we asked for 2 rooms next to one another (large family) which both the venue and Expedia did not respond to. Also the pool is adequate but looks a bit tired and may be needs a clean. Rooms are fab and everything else really nice. Thank you "

La Luna Hotel

"Myself, my wife and daughter stayed at Laluna at the end of Aug 24 and had a great time, the room was clean and had a view over the bay which was a pleasure to wake up to each morning, the room was adequate as was the bathroom and the rooms were leaned regularly with sheets and towels being changed every couple of days. The staff were beyong helpful and nothing was too much trouble for them, they has a great rapore with all of the guests, we ate at the Hotel on a couple of occasions and the food was lovely. The included breakfast was fantastice with lots of choice and the staff would go through the choices with everyone on their first visit to the dinning room - easy to park and find near bus stop 21. The local beach had a Life Guard and the beach was always very clean and was visiteddaily by three Swans from the local lake. Plenty of watersports and beds, umbrellas etc. All in all it was a great stay and we would recommend the Hotel to both Families and couples young or old."
