"Come on, it was stay in a castle! Loved it. Though I arrived late, I loved grabbing a drink and hanging out by the fire in the reception area and walking the grounds at night. We did run into some minor issues but didn’t get any response from Sykes management. Bathroom light stopped working during middle of our trip but we didn’t know how to get a hold of anyone and vrbo messaging didn’t work. They provide washer but there was no laundry detergent. Mary (the owner) was very welcoming and even drove me to town because I didn't have a car. To top it off, guests are allowed to watch the cows being milked every day from a viewing gallery (yes, Ballindrum is also a working dairy farm). I highly recommend it."
