"The kindness of the owner, his friendship, his suggestions and willingness in helping us to find the best beaches, tavernas and amenities on the island has been unique. The apartment was great: in the centre of Karpathos but silent, clean and comfortable. In case of a next trip to Karpathos I will try to rent it again. In two words.....great experience!!!"

"Athena Palace is a small aparthotel, with 14 apartments on two levels, right in front of the fantastic Aegean sea, west side of Karpathos island. It is not on the main road, so you do not hear noises or traffic , only the constant sound of the waves and wind. Wifi is not very steady, but you do not really need it or care for this, in my opinion... "Very good value. Great secluded situation near a lovely gravel beach. You need a car, as the access is 1.5h from airport and down the bottom of a long windy dead end road from the mountains. Excellent local shop and tavernas. Staff very friendly and helpful to my disability in giving me a ground floor studio; there is no lift. Buffet breakfast is fine. We thought it was fantastic for rest, peace, and restoration."
