"I loved the concept. However, it was a muddy mess to get back there. I don’t mind mud but you can’t carry everything back with you. I think they could put a path way with wood berms or hravel. I fell and slid in mud so walking back with a clean change of clothes impossible because your most definiy gonna fall i. the mud. loved the animals though"

"It had been about 30 years since we had been to Maine, and this was a great choice for our return visit. Cozy cabin! Pines, pines, and more pines. Sounds of the ocean at night. So peaceful (except for workmen at the neighboring property, but we weren't around most of the day, so it wasn't a terrific problem.) Ferry wasn't running, but the drives were beautiful, so no complaints there. Had a lovely and relaxing vacation, which was the objective. Seeing the Northern Lights (without a ton of light...

Highly recommended if you want simple, rustic lodging with comfortable accommodations (nice bed, everything needed for a compact kitchen to prepare meals, and nice picnic table for eating outdoors). "Fabulous accommodations - beautiful setting, just steps from the ocean in a quiet, working fishing (lobstering) cove with a trail behind the cabin. The cabin was spotless and truly had everything we might need. The excellent reviews are all true! We only regret that we didn't get to meet our hosts, but hope to go back and try again. In our opinion, the Schoodic peninsula is the best part of Acadia, and this cabin with its wonderful history is worth a return trip."

"We loved stargazing from the deck - amazing night sky (especially with binoculars)! The cabin was very comfortable and had adequate supplies for cooking basic meals. The location is VERY remote, which we frequently look for. A mid-point for exploring both Acadia/Bar Harbor and the Bold Coast - Quoddy Head, Lubec, Western Head Preserve and East Port."

"The best place on earth. Hidden away on the shore of Flanders Pond we had the spectacular view of the ever changing pond and the utter peace and quiet of nature all around us. We bird watched,enjoy watching the chipmunks and squirrels and looked forward to a pair of beavers who returned to their den each day at dusk. The house was perfect and impeccably furnished and decorated. Heaven on earth"

We are a family of 4, loved the puzzles, foosball, outdoor space and indoors had everything we needed. We had a fun power outage adventure due to high winds. Jenny responded immediately with where to find flashlights and a timeframe of when it would be back on. Highly recommend this property, we never wanted to leave the house!"
