"I spent a long weekend at Mt. Gilead Sunrise to give myself some peace and quiet. The property was absolutely beautiful - the pictures don't do it justice. Nancy and Al thought of everything - fluffy towels, a stocked kitchen, throw blankets. I enjoyed morning coffee on the porch swing and watched the bluebirds. I went on a hike at the Banshee Preserve and explored local wineries and breweries. I would definitely come back!"

"My aunt and I stayed here for a few nights and really enjoyed our stay. The space is huge, cozy, and private being the only apartment above the convenience store. It's a 1 minute drive from shopping in Charles Town and a short drive to Harpers Ferry and Shepherdstown. It was clean, and the hosts were generous even when we had a few very minor issues during our stay. They helped us through it and were very communicative. I would recommend this place to angone."

Great coffee/ restaurant right around the corner. It was close to the street but I had no problem sleeping. Bed was very comfortable Great parking behind the home. "We enjoyed our stay in this unique first floor unit. Kim and company were fine and friendly hosts. The unit was well stocked with nice supplies, and we could tell that thought was put into the furnishing and renovations. There was also an interesting collection of solid old furniture that added to the character of the place. I don't know what sort of sheets they put on the bed, but they were *so* comfortable! One downside was the lack of sound-proofing. Noise definitely carried from people...

And one of my favorites an electric tea kettle. . Very quiet. Beautiful sun room for dining or working or relaxing. Plenty of pillows and blankets. Bathroom well supplied.
