"Love the location "

"The Tavern was unavailable due to refurbishing; hopefully the rooms are next. Our room was spacious, but clearly a bit worn and in need of a facelift. Room was clean and bed was comfortable. The breakfast was very good, and overall our stay was very pleasant. Front desk staff was gracious and friendly, as was our breakfast host."

"The Governor's Inn is a 100 year old building that has gone through several changes over the years. It's in need of renovation, which the owner, from what I can see is working to get the place ship-shape. The staff & services though make up for any inconvenience. The restaurant, bar & music venues are first rate. People from all around the area stop by to enjoy. There is no elevator, however the staff, at no prompting are willing to help with your luggage.Everything considered, it's a good...

"I like staying here. Yes, it's an older property and a bit worn. The price reflects that though. The other near by properties are much higher in price but it's hit and miss on cleanliness and quietness. But here at the Anchorage it's clean. It's quiet. The staff has always greeted me with a smile and are helpful. Whenever I have to come back here for meetings I will stay at the Rochester Anchorage."

"Late arrival and was able to get key OK but they forgot to tell me where my room was and how to get there. A bit run down but for the price was fine. Not fancy but good location."

"I have stayed at the Inn for the last few years to visit my daughter for her birthday. I am a walker and have walked the Rail to Trail most times that I visit. This year it was not walkable without treckers. Suggestion: It would be great to have them available to rent!"

"Such a unique and beautiful historic, quintisential New England building! Loved hearing about the history of the Inn as well as the 3 ghosts that live there! The only suggustion I would make is to upgrade the mattresses, bedding and pillows."
