"This hotel was our ‘splash’ for the trip and it absolutely delivered. Very friendly and professional welcome at the Reception desk, checked in early with no qualms at all, beautifully clean rooms with good amenities and amazing views. We loved the cliff side location with views over the dramatic Madeira’s coast. Impressive breakfast spread tended by staff who were very well trained. We enjoyed the pool/ hot tub though felt a little rushed after the day as it closed at 8pm… perhaps 9pm would give guests the opportunity to enjoy after a busy days walking / exploring. We visited in early March and the weather was changeable but the hotel was a welcome haven to relax away from the elements. We ate at the bar and the portions were huge. Very much enjoyed the evening guitarist who made the atmosphere relaxed and very pleasant. We would return tomorrow, especially during the summer, when the outdoor pool amongst the vineyards would be an extra treat. Thankyou. It was a lovely stay "

"We travelled in the off season (early March) and really enjoyed our stay. Our room had a garden view and it was perfect. We strolled through every pathway in the property and for a flower/garden/rose lover it would be absolutely amazing in the summer when everything is in bloom. Our check-in greeting and encounters with staff were always polite and cheerful and breakfast was perfect every morning. We would happily stay here again."
