"I booked one of their suites and I really enjoyed my stay after all the sightseeing. Conveniently located in the centre of town. Strongly recommended this hostel 👍"

"It's in the city center so most of the sightseeing places are in walking distance. Close to the Waverley train station. My room has two floor which gave good separation with 10 people in the room. Room was warm. My building did not have any break room, so I had to go out to the different building for water. Bed was clean, though height was too low to sit straight. Toilet was a bit smelly, but overall, okay."

"My first solo trip, I was nervous about the concept of a hostel but a&o made it easy and made every opportunity to make available help known to me. My key card unfortunately stopped working but thankfully I only came and went once from my dorm so no real fault to place."

"The Hostel is in a great walkable area near Grassmarket Edinburgh. Lots of local pubs and shops within blocks. Great location. Compared to another hostel I stayed at in Glasgow, the Kick Ass had clean bathrooms, usable showers with good pressure & hot water. Having a pub downstairs with food was quick and convenient. Overall, a great and affordable place to stay if you dont mind bunking with other travelers. Everyone was nice and respectful in the dorms. No issues at all. "

"Great place , clean, friendly staff , room was a good size for 2 people. The only thing to keep in mind is that it is 35 min walking from the center."

"I was staying somewhere else first but tgat place was horrible. This hotel was great. Amazing vibe, clean, soft bed, quiet and modern. The receptionist was also really kind and friendly. I will definitely come again !"

"The staff were great. The place was a very close walk to the tram , which was amazing for getting around the city. The place was clean and the building felt secure. As a student dorm , it was as expected, nothing flashy but that’s all that was needed to enjoy the city. There is a grocery store and a Starbucks very close which was also very convenient. "

"Comfortable walk ro Princess Street, Castle , shops, pubs etc There is a bus stop right outside the door if walking is not an option The one suggestion I would make is for guests to bring eye madks, as the curtains are very thin and the outside street lights shine right into the bedrooms facing the front street Kitchen is very well equipped, showers have good water pressure, lots of hot water, "

"We loved the staff at Wilde so friendly and outgoing. We were less enamored with our rooms. Some things in both rooms we had didn’t function properly (blinds, lights, etc). Room was either freezing ir we had the heat off or felt like a furnace or we had it on. We also found that the “apartment” part of the room was not well utilized by us. "Fantastic hotel with exceptional staff . From the moment we arrived until we left fantastic service . We were given a lovely room with the view of the castle. The club Lounge is fantastic with amazing staff who could not do enough . I will come back "

"Lovely hotel that is ideally situated in a lovely square with cafes and restaurants within easy reach of the main town. Good facilities and it is worth having a castle view room. Good choice at breakfast with lots of fresh fruit and hot choices. Staff are friendly and helpful and went above and beyond for my 60th Birthday stay especially Alistair on Reception. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely stay here again if visiting Edinburgh. "
