Also enjoyed the swing on the property overlooking the bayou. Lots of trees in the property made it feel like we were out in the country. Would definitely recommend. "

"We came with the kids and the dog for Thanksgiving break. We picked this house because it said it was on the water and 2.5 acres. It did not disappoint! The dog loved having all that room to run and fetch. The kids loved that there was a kayak rental on site and were able to kayak down the river. "Beautiful house very nicely done inside with lovely finishes and plenty of space. The master does not have an attached bathroom but it is not a big deal the bathroom is close and well done so totally worth it. The kitchen is lovely with great appliances and a huge island and the wi-fi works great. The TV does not have cable or satellite just streaming but it works great and we just logged in to our own accounts. The lot is huge with large beautiful trees, plenty of parking, very quiet at the end...

The chateau is clean and cleverly Cajun style with a giant back patio overlooking the bayou (not the prettiest water but that’s no fault of the chateau). "A friend and I came to town for a tennis tournament. I ended having to come in last minute from New Orleans for a 8 am match. The owner was super accommodating and let us check in early. The house is great and just a few minutes walk from all the places downtown. Just a great place to stay when visiting Lafayette. Would definitely stay there again. "

"This is a very cool place that has everything. This getaway place is near the city but feels like it is at a campground. We loved the 2 different houses and the outdoor area with the firepit. It has plenty of parking, space to relax and 2 kitchens that has ample supplies. Check-in and out was convenient as well. We brought some extra chairs and enjoyed sitting by the river which was nice. I'd definitely recommend staying here to enjoy some rest & relaxation. "
