I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Smart Stay Inn in Lafayette, LA, and I must say, it exceeded my expectations. The newly renovated rooms are both modern and comfortable, providing a welcoming atmosphere after a long day. The staff was exceptionally friendly and attentive, ensuring that all my needs were met promptly. The hotel's convenient location, just off I-10, made it easy to explore local attractions like the Cajundome and the University of Louisiana at Lafayette. Additionally, being within walking distance to dining options such as Cracker Barrel was a delightful bonus. For travelers seeking quality accommodations at an affordable price, Smart Stay Inn Lafayette is an excellent choice.

The motel was better than expected. The room was affordable and appeared clean. It wasnt fancy and could use some work. The area doesnt seem to be the best. More ran down than anything. The motel parking lot is very lit up and the guest consisted of families and the elderly no one was loitering and the grounds felt safe. There could be someone in the office and the person running the business did come out and check us in but we needed towels at some point and werent able to get them. Overall a very affordable decent stay and I would stay here again in the future .

We were traveling with a trailer and it has a lot of parking and truck parking on the back so it was very convenient. For the price was perfect we just wanted to have a bed to sleep. The guy at the front desk was very service oriented and kind, he answered all my questions and help another customer who had a phone from Canada and couldn’t make a phone called. The hotel as a stop to rest is perfect and quiet and clean. But that’s all, no fancy but remodeled to a more clean look. No breakfast and few options to go and eat but we got late so maybe on the day time you can find more.

Upon arriving there was a plumbing issue, so I canceled immediately. Manager contacted me at 12:30 AM for us to return, and still charged my account. Kevin and/or Expedia have returned my calls, chats or inquired via account. Poor service from both entities.
