"We loved our six nights in the Obidos Castle. We thoroughly enjoyed day trips to the beach, Peniche, Fatima, Batalha, wine tasting and more. The castle are is busy during the day, but so peaceful at night. Rodrigo was the best host I have had (among many rentals on 3 continents). He met us to show us around and was very helpful in helping us both feel at home and explore the region. This 300 year old house was quirky but charming. Don’t hesitate to book!"

"The location of the apartment is superb and David the host could not have been more helpful with all our questions. You are walking distance from the beach and a row of bars and restaurants. The apartment feels like a home - it's stocked with all sorts of useful beach stuff (wind shield, boogie board, sand toys, umbrella etc...). The kitchen has everything you need too. "The communication around booking & the check-in process were very good, however the property was disappointing. On entering the flat there was a strong smell of damp which remained throughout our 5 day stay. There was a bar directly below which played very loud music until gone 2am. The bed linen had obviously been washed but was stained and the mattress had no protector on it and there were unpleasant visible stains. We had been warned about building work taking place in the block, however...

"The place was stunning, with wrap-around porch and views of the ocean. The sleeping arrangements were great, with comfortable beds for everyone. The kitchen had all the cookware one could need to prepare meals. Ana gave great advice for daily activities. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves."

"The apartment is great for a family as it is spacious and has access to a pool and playground. It was also very clean and the balcony has a lovely view so perfect for meals. If there are mobility issues, it might take some effort to walk up the hill after a night in the centre of Ericeira but it's only a 15 minute walk otherwise. It would have been good to have a washing machine."

"Paolo's place is set one road back from the beach road. You can see and hear the ocean from the apartment. The apartment is well equipped, including bicycles, surf boards and wet suits. I was there during low season, so the town was very quiet. If you don't have your own vehicle, transport to and from Santa Cruz during low season is not easy. Paolo was a very responsive, caring and helpful host."

"Great location and beautivel view! There was contactless checkin but the staff were very nice and reachable over the exspedia app and WhatsApp. The bathroom and kitchen had an off damp smell but was fine if you left the windows open. Thin walls and can hear everything going on in other units. "
