"Run…don’t walk. Run away from this property. The pictures don’t represent this property. Not dirty. Dark. Old. Vinyl furniture. The ‘cafeteria’ and that’s what is ridiculously crowded. The property is sandwiched between refineries and camping grounds. 2 stars maybe…4 is offensive. We left. Didn’t stay. Didn’t get our money back, don’t care. Managers have dealt with this situation before - clearly. They were dealing with another couple when we left. Terrible. You’ve been warned. "

"I didn't like the fact that reception told us we had an hour to get to Dinner because they close at 2200, but when we arrived, it was 2130, and so what was supposed to be a nice dinner turned into a nightmare."

"Staying in the deluxe room with the jacuzzi on the patio was a must. It’s a short walk to town although the restaurant food quality was a bit disappointing and restaurants were empty due to the season. We didn’t dine at hotel. However we capped off each night with a drink in the hotel’s fabulous rooftop bar. The hotel was almost empty so it was surprising we had to wait for our room( we arrived early) but they kept saying not ready when when we finally came back at the specified check in time...

"Es la segunda vez que estuve en el hotel con mi pareja. La verdad que esta muy bien y el personal es super agradable la cual intentan solucionar cualquier duda que tienes. Estuvimos en la zona de SPA y nos salimos renovados de alli. Super bien. Maria y Margarida las recepcionistas son muy agradable y amable.en general todos en el hotel .Gracias por todo . "The perdon who checked me in was not particularly helpful, however the person who chrcked me out was rude! I asked for a taxi to the bus station, she hesitated, then called one taxi who said he was busy, she did not adk for how long. She hung up and then tried to convince me the bus did not go where I wanted to go. I knew better, butshe thought I was wrong and eventually just walked away from me. "A great all inclusive hotel with plenty of activities. This resort is especially great for golfers as you have 2 great courses at your doorstep. There is only the buffet option for food, however the food was great and they even had a street food dinner on Wednesday which was a very pleasant surprise."

"Super nice hotel property. Staff friendly, we checked in about an hour early which was nice. Good early dinner in the bistro. Morning breakfast buffet was excellent."

"We. booked their sister hotel but when we got there, the hotel was closed. We finally got into the hotel that was closed and the operational staff said that that they moved us to another hotel. Although, they never sent us a text or email on this move. When we finally found the new hotel, they gave us a room that faced a busy road. We asked to change the room, however we had to pay an additional cost. Not my favourite hotel. "

"Check in took forever ,If you go, take a print out they could not do it with the app ,2 days it took grrr.If you want a drink at the bar be prepared to be thirsty I have never seen such slow service between 10 to 15 min wait wether there are 2 people in front or 10.Food was ok entertainment rubbish,Wine on all inclusive terrible put it on your frozen chips.The pool is wonderful"

"Great location! Hotel was historic and staff was super kind and accommodating. Breakfast was amazing with a lot of options. Diner menu needs a bit of work and wine menu needs to be updated but still a great place to stay!"

"Vi har været meget tilfredse, dog ville vores rating være endnu bedre, såfremt hotellet havde undladt at spille høj musik udendørs helt frem til kl 23. Det afholdt os desværre fra at benytte altanen i det omfang, som vi ellers havde ønsket. Hotellet oplyste på vores forespørgsel, at det var en del af konceptet!"

"Everything was great and the staff was awesome. The only negatives were the kitchen was too dark, the fireplace smoke odor was overpowering and strong, and the front door and car were always full of pidgeon poop. Trimming the trees should solve the pidgeon poop issue. We didn’t know the WiFi router had to be rented and there were none available for the first week. All the shortcomings were made up by the great staff."

Great Resort and Food.

"Verdelago is a great 5-star resort in the Algarve, away from tourists and tourist traps. It is a vast resort with many things to do. However, potential guests should be aware it is not fully-open. The resort is under construction even though you would not really notice it. They have done a fabulous and mindful job in protected guests from this. It is a new resort and they are taking guests whilst still working on the other parts. There is also a possibility your stay may encounter some snags. Hot water may run out, or a certain bathroom may not be working 100%. But the staff is the most attentive I have seen in Europe. They are professional, kind, responsive and ever-so accommodating to anything you may need. They are being trained well and that is what sets this place apart. Currently, as of this review date, they are 2 pools available and a beach. The Beach Bar is still being completed (days away I am told) and will be a great addition to those wanting to hang out on the beautiful beach. Every area of this resort is super-clean (it is new!). The food is delicious. The prices are in-line with what you would expect for a 5-star resort but the quality is definitely there. We observed a very active kids club as well. The resort is also super pet friendly. Such a great thing to so if you like pets. Enough parking for everyone, electric car charging for free, free bikes to hop on and off throughout the resort, and very secure resort. Staff are 100% 5-star. "
