"The reception staff member was excellent, especially working on Dec 25th. A very different story with a different staff member during check-out on Dec 26th. In one of our rooms, there was a problem with a blocked toilet, which someone came to clear (more than once). When checking out, I was expecting an apology, but I faced an indignant staff member who just said "we know". I was very disappointed, especially since I was not going to ask for compensation -- just understanding. Otherwise,...

"We were checked in by the hotel manager. He was friendly and accommodating. He even walked us to our room to show us how key items worked. Unusually thorough and welcoming. He gave us several recommendations for dining. We chose one of those and were delighted with the menu, service and cuisine. "

"We had a great stay at the Matterhorn for 2 nights. I love the old school feel on the outside and our room was large and nicely renovated with a balcony overlooking some of Sedonas red rocks. You can easily walk to restaurants and shops (obviously pretty touristy in downtown). The staff was super friendly. We were there in January so it was pretty quiet but I imagine it could get loud in high season. "
