"Old school and old building. Excellent location and views, spacious rooms, fine service. The amenities were ok. The main issue is smoking. A non smoking hotel that hands out matches in every room, what do you think it’s going to happen? If you’re a smoker it’s for you. For me it was always an exercise in opening the windows to get the smell out of the room and close them quickly when the suicidal monkey next door smoked in their balcony"

We arrived early and so waited for our room in the lounge. Staff provided tea and the wait was pleasant. However, at the changing of shifts it seems the next shift didn’t know we had arrived and were waiting so I reduced a star for that. The property is beautifully maintained, and the pool area is a wonderful spot to relax after a day out in the mountains. One area for improvement would be ensuring the apartment is thoroughly cleaned before check-in. During our last stay, we noticed it wasn’t as spotless as we’ve come to expect. A little more attention to detail would make the experience even better."
