"The whole appearance of the hotel reflects its history. The room and bathroom was tastefully decorated. Staff were friendly and helpful, i was able to store my bag after checkout until i was ready to catch the train. The dinner menu is limited hiwever thr food was tasty and the breakfast was more than sufficient and again tasty. I was able to get wifi in public areas but stuffled in my room, however i hasn't staying there for long. "

"Our room was clean and comfortable. It was a good size and set up for a family as we needed. We were disappointed that the spa was closed, an odd decision to close the spa at the weekend when travellers are most likely to want to use it. Breakfast was a little underwhelming but plenty to choose from. The cereal packets were quite a long way out of date. The traffic was quite loud from our room at the front of the hotel. A room at the back would be much better to be able to sleep through. Just...

New Years Bridge Reservoir. The road running parallel with the frozen reservoir is the main A640 known locally as "Nont Sarahs" This winters shot was taken after three weeks of constant freezing weather conditions resulting in all the local reservoirs being frozen over solid.
