"The hotel itself is beautiful and within walking distance to the beach, shops and restaurants. The staff on reception were especially friendly and helpful and arranged restaurant reservations for us and checked ahead with all these restaurants to make sure they catered for gluten free. The restaurant within the hotel is definitely worth a visit, the tasting menu was absolutely stunning and the staff again were so friendly and knowledgeable and nothing was too much trouble. "A wonderful hotel with friendly staff and fantastic views over Lucca. The room and bathroom were amazing, really spacious and thoughtfully laid out. The pool was great and we thoroughly enjoyed both meals at the hotel. Breakfast was also great, the fruit in particular very good. We did wish for more of a bar area - there is only a sitting room or part of the restaurant to do so - but the extremely helpful and pleasant hotel staff were on hand to place drink orders when required.
