"First the cons: having to take a shuttle or 20 min taxi to Rome center. The decor was in vast need of an update. The furniture in our room was so dated - couldn’t tell if it was the style or 30 years old and I didn’t even want to sit on the upholstery. A charge of 10€ per person to use the pool and spa. Pros: a quiet respite from the busy tour days. The breakfast was delicious and varied. The staff were friendly and helpful. The bathroom was nice and the beds were comfortable. "

But, the breakfast cost sets a European record. £6 for a cup of hot water teabag, £5 for a glass of watery orange juice, bacon to sole your shoes with, inedible dry toast with no butter. I could go on but I feel sure that £42 for a simple breakfast should discourage all potential future guests."
