"We didn't get the room we ordered (and paid for). The unfortunately very meager confirmation from Expedia, which did not list the room type, was not helpful either. There was a hole where the minibar with refrigerator was supposed to be. Hot water only came when asked one day and not at all the next. Since there were very few guests in the hotel, there was no breakfast buffet. That's ok, but the menu offering was very meager. The Eternal Peace Lamp was lit on 1 November 1986 by Prince Gyanendra to commemorate the International Year of Peace. The flame was brought from the UN in NY, NY, USA. It sits at the beginning of the park-like area known as the Lumbini Development Zone next to the Maya Devi Temple.
