"Staff all excellent. Rooms clean and comfortable. Heating too hot and uncontrollable, eg no thermostatic valves. Bedroom corridor doors need silent closing. Breakfast good, evening meal adequate as limited menu and poor quality burgers. Plenty of character and bar busy."

"We stayed here as it was convenient for a local wedding. We paid for an early check-in and the room was ready when we arrived. The room was de-luxe and comfortable. the staff were very friendly and courteous. Breakfast provided a good choice, was leisurely, wholesome and tasty. Our only downside was the road noise which is not really surprising for a Coaching Inn from tudor times and earlier"

A few issues with room (no.5), water not draining from bath, mirror light not working. I know maintenance will be sorting these out soon, probably already sorted!
