"In the hotel, although some of the decorations were tacky because of Lunar New Year. Which has the power because it was close to the Historic Dutch colonial area of Jakarta, which was huge disappointment. The doorman insisted on calling us a taxi instead of letting us go to the street, said it would be four minutes, and 15 minutes later said the taxi had canceled and he would call another. We walked out in the street and held a taxi in less than one minute. The breakfast buffet was beautiful...

"House of Tugu is the latest hotel from the Tugu Group, which I have frequented many times. This one is truly the masterpiece... the decor and mood is otherworldly. The room is spacious and very comfy. Breakfast was amazing and I really like their coffee. Service is something that all Tugu hotels share, always warm, genuine, and caring. To me, this is the perfect weekend getaway hotel."

"Well designed hotel with very good utilisation of space. However, sink leaks water whenever in use, wooden boards are terrorised by ants, hotel towels smells really bad, no hair dryer, hotel pool is greenish in colour and bedsheets and towels have stains.. lol it isn’t well maintained at all, just stay somewhere else.. hotel helped to spray some pesticide to kill ants but left wi try out even cleaning or clearing the corpses. "The staff were great and the rooms cleaned well each day. The building though is a little dated and could do with remodeling. Outside was dirty and chaotic like most of Jakarta but this is not the fault of the hotel. Probably wont visit Jakarta again but if I did I would stay and the Menara Peninsular again."
