"Stayed in the hotel for a concert at Gilsenkirchen. The hotel’s own gated parking was very convenient, the room was quiet and very comfortable. In particular, staff on reception were very helpful and made our group feel very welcome. Would happily recommend for anyone looking for somewhere to stay within easy reach of Schalke stadium."

"Upon our arrival the lady on the reception had an attitude. We were charged for Wifi, despite Wifi being included in the reservation. The room was dirty and smelled bad. The Hotel does not have Air condition, and again it was included in the room's description. Thankfully there was a very friendly man working on the reception who actually cared. "Wonderful hotel. Beautiful surroundings next to an old town. Restaurant with quite simple but good food while most wines (not all) were really expensive. Quite a discrepancy between currywurst and a bottle of wine for 211€😂. The pommes special with curry sauce, red onions and mayo was absolutely delicious. Nice room but a lot of stairs. Good breakfast but not spectacular. "
