"We only stayed a short night. We messaged the property about swapping two separate spaces for one two bedroom with kitchenette and living room. They were extremely responsive via messaging and helpful and generous with our last minute request. The deck was covered and perfect to experience the rainforest in the rain. There is a walk down to a cool beach and if not pouring down rain the sunset would be great. We sincerely appreciated the customer care and support."

"Far and away my favorite place I stayed in New Zealand. We arrived after check-in, but they were super accommodating and kind when we called. The rooms were so spacious and nice, I wish we stayed longer. Exactly the place you want to land if you have spent a long day traveling. The breakfast was also delicious, and the folks working there were very kind and helpful when we had questions about the area."

"Property was clean and in a good location for Franz Josef activities. It would have been useful to have a sink in the kitchen area, so you didn’t have to wash up in the tiny sink in the bathroom. There was an error when we checked in and we were chased for payment. The maid did not make our bed the next day and forgot to leave milk and a tea towel. When we mentioned these mistakes, they were quickly remedied. "

"Was a one of a kind accommodation, absolutely stunning. Would have gotten 11/10 apart from a few little things. The mattress is old and a little uncomfortable. There are blinds all around that have gaps on either side if you like feeling private while having a shower or getting changed you might feel a bit weird about that and the last even less important thing is the tv isn't a smart tv so if you want to watch movies you'll need to bring a USB or DVD/Blu-ray with you.
