"On this website this hotel is a PET FRIENDLY property. We booked a Pet Friendly room but upon arrival were told the room we booked was not pet friendly. They wanted us to move to a much smaller room which we refused to do. They then told us that we would not be allowed in the dining or bar area with our puppy and if we wanted to order anything we would have to stay in our room and order room service. To get to this property you have to drive through an unsavoury area, we could not risk driving...

"Great Location, out of the city, but not far from shopping center and local restaurants. 30 minutes away from Durban. Checking-in was easy, and the room was spacious, and the lady receiving us was helpful and guide us where to find food close by. Breakfast was good, and sufficient, service was very good. "They are doing renovations at the property, and that took away from the stay. Also, they are new at this and there is room for improvement. I am sure when renovations are done, and they are more accustomed to running it. Things will be much better."

However, there is a shared kitchen which is available to prepare any other meals…it is not in good condition at all and needs some serious TLC if the space is to be offered for guest use. For example the oven is FILTHY, the sink is perpetually full of used, dirty dishes and cutlery/crockery/glasses/cookware all need to be upgraded/replaced. I think the shared space is a great idea, but it has to be drastically improved to reflect...

"Great stay - very central in Notties area - a few quaint little eateries nearby country vibe. Loxley - was an awesome establishment with really friendly staff who really tried to help.The shower in the room is a little old school - but not a problem at all for a short stay."

"We were there to book in at 14:00 when we could book in, our room was not ready! It was not cleaned yet and we had to get ready for a wedding!! We had to wait till 14:50 till they were done cleaning and had to be atvthe wedsing T 16:00. We had to do our make up outside in the heat and was sweating because they were busy and we could not so it in the room with the aircon on. I had to rush doing my and my daughters hair. We were not impressed at all!"

The stoves for cooking did not have knobs for turning it on. You could hardly see with the light in the bathroom when we arrived. The sofa was torn and squeaked. Linen & towels did not look fresh & clean (very old)."
