"Staying at Athena motel was good value for money for our last minute trip. It was clean and comfortable. There were a couple of things like a softer mattress that my husband didn’t like and the cigarette smoke easily passed from the front of our neighbours room into ours. The checkin although friendly, left me feeling a little awkward as no one was available to help me with several luggage despite travelling alone with children. "Beautiful and well-maintained property, very attractive brick walls and garden, very clean and spacious rooms. There are shops across the road including a couple of options for food, but for much choice of restaurants we have to drive. If coming from the city centre, there is no access across the highway from Herries Street, but it is easy from Margaret Street."
