"Just spent one night before the ferry but enjoyed walking into downtown and driving part of Queen Charlotte Drive, which starts in Picton. The room had a great view of the harbour, though it was a bit small for 3 people."

"Convenient location for ferry. friendly staff, comfortable bed and ample space and privacy. Walking distance to many food options. A little noisy in the evening with road/ferry traffic but nice and quiet at night. Had a decent sleep, refreshed and ready for the next day. Reception enquired if I would be leaving early the next morning and explained early check-out procedure clearly. Would happily stay again."

"We stayed at Furneaux Lodge while walking the Queen Charlotte Track in February, 2024. After hiking the ~10 miles on the first day through a symphony of cicadas and outstanding views, feeling hot and tired, we walked into the magical oasis that is Furneaux Lodge. The setting is absolutely dreamy with a large grassy yard leading down to a pretty beach. It feels tranquil and elegant. We'd splurged on a suite and were astounded by how beautiful it was. "Older property but safe, secluded with a beautiful view of Portage Bay and mountains. Rooms have a patio, but no televisions or clocks. Shower floor was slippery. One dining room and separate lounge area with fireplace. Because of major storm damage a few years ago, we were not able to drive to property, instead we needed to take a water taxi from Picton."
