The location is also a big plus—just a short and easy walk to the town centre and harbour, making it perfect for exploring Inverness. The only minor downside is that the rooms are a bit small And less utilities. "

"I cannot recommend the Highland Bear Lodge highly enough. What a stunning location and place to stay. Everything was absolutely lovely and very unique. We stayed in the Prince Charlie room and it was absolutely gorgeous. I have never stayed anywhere with an in room breakfast provision, but it worked so well and we really enjoyed it. "Absolutely stunning. This hotel feels like it is at the ends of the earth, but it is so worth the effort to get there! Our room looked out on the North Sea with sweeping, gorgeous views. The staff was the best - all helpful. They suggested hikes in the area and pointed us to things the locals enjoy, making our stay even better. The restaurant was terrific - excellent food and staff. We loved everything about our stay and look forward to returning soon. "

Trail mix and mineral water was provided free of charge each day. The only downside was the pricing which I felt was on the high side, but I guess you get what you pay for. Staff was cordial but not really welcoming. "

"- Spacious and comfortable - Location was secluded and exactly what we were looking for - Hot tub was very enjoyable and a nice touch - Ann came round to check everything was ok with us, and got in touch beforehand to confirm bed arrangements. - May need a deep clean at some point especially with the insects in the summer with windows open but generally in good condition - clean sheets and towels, bathrooms clean and maintained well"
