"Liked: Lovely, attentive, friendly staff. Room and the rest of the hotel clean. Great selection of breakfast food and snacks, coffee, etc. Restaurant, bar, poolside, gardens, very inviting. Nearby shops, amenities, etc. Didn't like: Lack of dining table in room if we wanted to eat in. Gym room and equipment in disrepair and dirty. First time in Crete. We really liked it, and the staff at Malena contributed to our enjoyment. Would go back to this hotel but, in all honesty, there's so much more...

"This hotel is as stated above is well situated for the beach (which is very narrow) and all local bars and shops. Gouves is a pleasant resort but spread over a large area comprising of the seafront, two streets with shopping and bars/restaurants, and about a mile of seafront with shops and restaurants, spread thinly along the front. "Lovely hotel set above street level so little noise especially around the beautiful pool area. Breakfasts were amazing in form of help yourself buffet.
