"We really enjoyed this vintage pub with cosy, modern rooms upstairs in Robin Hood’s backyard. Taking daughter to uni in Nottingham so this was an ideal stop. The kitchen was closing at 8 so we arrived just in time to grab a tasty bite from extensive menu. A bacon, brie and cranberry sandwich on crusty bread was washed down with a couple of draught beers while watching the Champions League along with the bar’s friendly lab. "Loved this place. Not 5 star posh but 5 star different in a good way. Self check in easy peasy and room was just like being a home but tidier! Nice little breakfast bits in room and a lovely kitchen downstairs to use. Excellent price for a good night's sleep. Road was a little noisy but I use earplugs so no worries for me there anyway. Would recommend for a night or 2."

"What I particularly liked and the primary reason I booked a stay at this B&B was the proximity to the village of Spridlington. A 3 mile country road walk to the church where some of My ancestors are buried. The bonus was how welcoming the hosts were providing a hardy breakfast each morning and friendly chats. The en suite room was very comfortable and quiet."
