"The reception staff were excellent and very friendly. The lady serving in the Restaurant and bar again was very pleasant and friendly. My food was lovely and delivered by the Chef with an apology for taking so long. However it didn't seem to take long at all."

Unfortunately restaurant was closed other than for breakfast but it is very central to loads of cafes/restaurants and I enjoyed the walk along the canal to get Sunday lunch. "Visiting family before new year. Lovely single room with small en-suite but perfect for me. Everything I needed was available but in the kitchen, required more utensils for cooking. I got takeaway and used what I could, no problem with bowls/plates and kitchen appliances. Great spacious clean kitchen. Lovely place to stay, recommend. "

"I stayed here recently on a short break in Lincoln. It’s well located in a quiet area very near the castle. The staff were absolutely lovely - friendly and helpful. Stokes cafe and a great tapas restaurant are just across the courtyard and there’s a large pay and display car park behind the hotel if you drive. The hotel is very attractive and is gradually getting investment. My room was one that has already been renovated and was of a great standard. My only criticism would be that the mattress...

"Amazing stay. Rooms were furnished really well, great size. Bed was super comfortable. All the staff were super welcoming and the breakfast and dinner were both delicious and reasonably priced. Great value and definitely the best stay in the area. "
