"On arrival we were given an upgrade to a room in the main building which was a lovely surprise. Room was very comfortable and apart from a party downstairs on Wednesday also quiet. Staff were very friendly. Did not eat at the hotel as the menu lacked gluten free vegetarian options but did enjoy a wander around the beautiful grounds. Will definitely come again "

"Our room was very comfortable and clean with tea/coffee making facilities and hand soap/shower gel dispensers. The bed was very comfortable. We did not encounter any noise from other guest, it was very peaceful. The staff were very friendly and helpful, all in all we had a really good stay and the food was amazing and plenty of choice."

"Great pub in a quaint village within Scarborough near to all North Bay attractions. The rooms are all different, fitted out and decorated to a high quality standard. The pub area has a great atmosphere along with the dining areas. Food is of a very high quality and great portion sizes"

"Last minute booking and what a great little find. Room was spacious and beds comfortable with tea and coffee facilities. Shower was pretty low pressure but got us all clean and in all we had a great stay. Location is brilliant, 10 mins walk to the beach and 15/20 mins walk into Whitby centre. Only downside is no breakfast available but plenty of places in Whitby for this. "

"THE ACCOMMODATION WAS A STONE THROW FROM THE PUB, A BEAUTIFUL COUNTRY PUB WITH CHARACTER. THE BREAKFAST, SERVICE AND EVENING MEALS WERE EXCEPTIONAL. NOTHING WAS TOO MUCH TROUBLE. "

"Arrived later in the evening, welcome pack was ready for us. Room was small but had everything we needed and was lovely and clean. Nice view from seating area in room and in a great location for exploring Whitby. Parking was made easy with a permit which cost £5 for the weekend. We left the car at the hotel for the weekend and walked everywhere. Would recommend this guest house, we had no problems at all during our stay. "

"My top floor room with dormer window had great views out to sea - the payoff being 73 internal stairs in addition to the dozen from street level! I'd previously stayed at this property so was aware of the stairs and the property owner Emma also messaged me at the time of booking to check that there were no mobility issues. After a minor issue around check-in times, I was able to quickly settle in and found my room to be clean and comfortable with good quality bedding and a generous refreshments...
