"We had a great room. Nice and warm. Great bed and pillows.. Buffet breakfast excellent. We went off season and managed to use the pool, which is an unusual design and only 6 people allowed in the pool at same time so not sure how useful in the summer. We were with family - 6 of us, so we had pool to ourselves and the children loved it."

"Lovely place. We stayed with our small dog for a couple of nights. Facilities are amazing, golf, spa, swimming, gym, etc. Set in beautiful, peaceful grounds with easy access to Douglas (20 min drive) We had a 3 course meal in one of the restaurants and not only was the food amazing and very reasonably priced for the quality but it really felt like they went the extra mile... and were happy to. The chef prepared a special sauce to accomodate my partners food intolerances and the dog was offerred a plain char-grilled chicken in the restaurant as well. "

"I had an absolutely excellent stay at the Halvard Hotel in the Isle of Man! The hotel is newly refurbished, blending modern elegance with every comfort you could need. Lucas, Marianne, and Grace were incredible – always so helpful, attentive, and genuinely sweet. Their warmth and professionalism made the experience even more special. From the beautifully updated interiors to the impeccable service, the Halvard Hotel is a gem. "The Claremont is in a perfect location on the seaside in central Douglas. Stores and restaurants are within easy walking distance. Staff are friendly and efficient. Dinner as well as breakfast the next morning were wonderful. Room had a tub AND a walk-in shower! "

"Great location. Staff were extremely nice and professional. Just note there are no actual outdoor balconies here, the photos are of indoor balconies which was the oddest thing Id ever seen. The balcony was in the middle of the building facing the open walkway corridor of the rooms opposite so you cant go to sleep wirh the curtains opening hoping that daylight will wake you natrually unless you want those across from you seeing you walking in your PJs."

"We had perfect 3 day stay with attention to every detail by the staff. The very traditional hotel had many original features and I would be hard pressed to find any criticisms. My wife and I were both equally happy with our stay."
