"Me and my husband recently stayed here overnight to celebrate a special Birthday. It was a lovely, clean hotel with a great bar and restaurant area. Pros: A lovely looking hotel,clean and inviting. The food in the restaurant was lovely as was the breakfast. I would definatly eat here again. The staff were brilliant. They were so helpful and friendly and very hard working. "We were a group who all worked together on an MOD program and who last met together over 10 years ago. The staff looked after us very well and were very friendly and supportive, even though the hotel was full. "

"Close to the M6 The Moat House makes for a lovely staging post. Restaurant specialises in steaks. It’s stylish and popular with locals so booking is important. The hotel is an upgraded historical lodge and has stylish decor throughout. The room was spacious and comfortable. My only mild disappointment was the breakfast was a bit small. Overall strongly recommended."

"The staff are very pleasant and willing to help. The dining facilities are very nice and the food is of a high standard. The room I stayed in was basic , very clean and very well priced. It’s an old building with hot water radiators unfortunately every time the heating started in my room there was the constant sound of water running into the radiator. This didn’t help at 6am and the only option given was to switch it off."
