"The Stables love dogs! They cater for people and 4 legged fury friends equally! We had a brilliant few days being hosted at The Stables, located only a couple of miles from the harbour with easy access into and out of town it really couldn't be in a better location. The views from the bar/breakfast room are amazing and the staff really are top notch, friendly, helpful and everything you come to expect from a great hotel/restaurant. "

We like to relax after lunch but our room was not cleaned until after 3pm which meant that we had to arrange our activities around the hotel schedule rather than the other way round. When we asked there appeared to be no flexibility in the cleaning schedule ."

"As a type one diabetic who does not drink alcohol or coke my wife was unable to get a drink in the bar as there were no other sugar free options and the coffee/tea machine had been turned off.(10 o'clock ish).Other than this small matter an excellent stay was enjoyed by all."

"Loved the property. It was beautifully decorated, and had everything you could possibly need. We have stayed with five star stays before, so this wasn’t the first time and won’t be the last. However the first staff member I spoke to on arrival at the Plough to collect the keys was nothing other than miserable!! Granted we did arrive 30 minutes early, but he was so dismissive of us. I don’t know whether I disturbed his precious time but he was most unpleasant. Took the shine off the stay. He avoided me when I did go back at the correct time, clearly unhappy in life and working in the incorrect industry of customer service."
