"Comfortable hotel in the town centre. Nice and easy access in to free carpark with plenty of space. A rear entrance directly from the carpark takes you to the foyer and reception. The hotel is an old manor building with a lot of charm. The bedrooms are well equipped and in good condition though in a traditional style. As a family of four, we asked for two extra beds for the kids and we were given two single foldable beds, which were quite comfortable and better than a double sofa bed. There...

"The hotel is ‘of its day’ in style and furniture but the warm welcome and helpfulness of staff made up for the slightly tired decor. Friendly Resturant staff and excellent tasty breakfast. All in all, with good transport links, near to beach and decent facilities it’s a great place to stay. "

"It's not every day you can say you stayed in a 16th century hotel. Of course getting to the room is tricky unless you have balance on wonky floors & stairs. But it's character features, bit of creaky floorboards. The room was fairly modern but was surprised no telephone which I needed. Had to shut the window to sleep to cut down outside noises but not totally. Food was good, restaurant was full, staff friendly. Unique experience."

"Very warm and friendly check in and check out. Room was clean and spacious, bed was lovely and comfortable. Little bits of paint missing on windowsill if I'm nit picking apart from that a very nice place to stay. Would recommend as also very close to the beach."

"For disability people is not friendly. The main hotel does not have elevator (lift). Only stair which is very inconvinuos for the luggage. The restaurant is amazing with lovely view. Staff very friendly "

"Our room was clean and comfortable, only issues were lack of power points near the bed (for charging phones, using laptops, etc),bed side lamps would be more convenient for comfortable lighting, and also the bed seemed to be only standard size double when most these days are king size. However I must thank the staff for their help and consideration as I became quite ill overnight on our stay, they were very patient while my wife looked after me and organised our room for another night."
