"This hotel is a short walk from downtown Sarlat. Street parking was near-by and easy to find. Our room was a Standard but was luxuriously enormous with great amenities, and a very comfy bed. Hotel staff were pleasant and helpful, even going to far as to ship back an item I'd left in the room. "

"We really enjoyed our stay at this villa. The room was simple but well appointed. Clean and very comfortable. The villa is located in a hill within the trees above the river. Very quiet and peaceful. The attached restaurant was excellent, but was only serving one of the nights we were there because they were hosting a wedding on the weekend. "Only 2 nights spent at La Paille Basse but it was really lovely. Would happily come back here. The team running the place were really friendly, the property well looked after and the accommodation as expected."

"Air conditioner was totally inadequate. Wi-Fi was poor. Toilet and bathroom were separate; latter required two steps. People at reception were unfriendly, refused to speak English and were unable to recommend a quality restaurant in Sarlot. Nice pool, good breakfast. Entrance off main road precarious. Four star rating undeserved."

"Accueil plus qu'etrange et vraiment pas agréable, nous avons du attendre 20 minutes la personne devant l'accueil (qui n'était pas sur le site en horaire d'ouverture) la personne ne savait même pas que nous avions une réservation m'a demandé si nous avions déjà réglé et m'a donné un logement au pif. Le logement était nettoyé par les anciens occupants (pas super clean) et surtout aucune désinfection n'a été faite ni avant notre arrivé ni après notre départ en période d'épidémie plutôt moyen."
