"We had a very nice stay at this hotel in the mountains. There were some nice (though not easy) walks nearby me the hotel felt much like a wellness retreat. We opted for 1/2 board (breakfast dinner) since there were not a lot of spots nearby and the driving made me a bit nervous. The menu had good selection and I appreciated seeing wines on the menu from their Duoro vineyard location. "

"Out of town, remote n a side lane. Very difficult to locate, badly signposted from town. Car park detached on adjacent open field, totally open to public and therefore insecure. Spacious room. Individual meal prices exorbitant. Swimming pools closed for season, but we had not been informed of this when booking. "

The breakfast is self service with everything laid on for you and is of a high quality. The spa facilities are good, the pool has powerful jets that massage well and the staff are welcoming. "The stay was very relaxing. Nice property and good mountain view from the Family Villa. The manager Ms. Carlota was very kind, polite and accomodative to every request.She arranged for special decrations for my daughter"s birthday. The front office staff do their best and Mr. Nuno deserves a special mention.Overall, a very good experience.God bless you, all."

Paid for a mountain view but couldn't see them because trees obstructed the view. Guests should be aware that the property is about 15 kilometres before the town of Mantegias and is quite isolated.
