"This was our second stay at the Hotel da Oliveira. All being well, we shall be returning again. It is a most elegant space in the historical quarter, with themed guest rooms (ours was named after the inscription of the city on the UNESCO World Heritage List). LOCATION: Situated at the very heart of the Centro Historico, the hotel is a short taxi ride from the train station and the bus station (even walkable with light luggage). "This guy needs to communicate with guests better. I requested how to get in the day before, then twice the morning of my arrival. I didn't hear from him until 2:30 pm and check in was at 3. I was in Braga at that point and had to go wait in a cafe until I got his email. (It was raining) When I showed up at the place, a couple was outside trying to get in. Then later, after I returned around 8 pm, another couple was outside who couldn't get in. I let them in."

"Hotel São Bento is a beautiful hotel in a great location near Peneda-Gerês national park. Everyone at the hotel were very friendly, kind, and helped us in English to address our limited Portuguese vocabulary. The restaurant was delicious as well, and the nearby park has amazing viewpoints (miradouros), waterfalls (cascatas) and hiking. We would definitely come back and stay at this hotel again."
