"Really lovely stay Had a room over the harbour so saw the Bastille day fireworks from the balcony. Some extra special staff - we travel a lot and they were 110%. Special thank you to Marc especially who went out of his way to ensure we had a memorable stay.Nothing was too much trouble He also recommended some fabulous places to eat - all excellent value. Only complaints were the shower was half broken (probably should have mentioned it to the staff but I couldn’t be bothered) and the bed has probably been slept in by 10,000 people and needs a new mattress. "Wonderful petit dejeuner in this interesting hotel perched on the side of a steep hill. The views from reception and breakfast room were lovely. Room had fantastic bathroom with walk in shower, glass sink and power tub. Pity not to have a view of the bay. "

"Our first impression of Le Carre Noir was breathtaking. The drive up was dramatic, the view spectacular. The staff were cordial but we were offered no help with our bags and the key card system was down when we arrived.
