"Max hotel was too far from the centre and we couldn’t get a taxi. The actual hotel was quite good though, the breakfast, the staff and it had parking. Maybe in the peak time there would me more taxis ang going into the centre wouldn’t be a problem"

"Great location right opposite the railway station but no noise from outside thanks to excellent double glazing. Really good buffet breakfast and friendly staff. Rooms could do with a bit of touching up. Looking a bit battered in places. But would definitely stay again."

"The hotel is very central which is fantastic. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Breakfast was very nice albeit limited in choice. But fresh and tasty. The hotel is old and could do with updating. However, the price was good, location was perfect, it was lovely and clean and the bed was comfy. I would recommend and would happily stay again. "Was a nice hotel with good character. Few things that let it down. Although the general room was clean there were a few areas that weren’t like the bathroom in places with a Silverfish that we discovered (luckily on the last day). We were staying at the front room and unfortunately could hear people coming and going plus the reception which is just outside the door (although that can’t be helped)"
