You could look out to see and watch the crashing waves for ages though . Beds were super comfy and huge . Car was parked in a single garage so safe . We made a fire as no heating in lounge and it was very cold . Our only negative was the lack of wifi which I reported when we arrived. Never got fixed so had to buy...

The air-conditioning unit was very noisy and when load shedding took place it stopped working as there is no inverter or solar for backup,when the power goes down. "

"Lovely big house on a very central spot and close to the sea. A few things need attention but nothing that ruined our stay. We actually had a good time. Although it is self catering, I would suggest that the dustbin should at least have been fixed with a trash bag (one will do for a start!) on guests’ arrival. Not a lot of people travel with a bag to use on arrival. "

"The Abalone Lodge is a beautiful property in a magnificent setting overlooking a captivating seascape with a private gate leading to walking paths. The staff was amazing, the food was gourmet level including the breakfast choices. The rooms are very comfortable. I would love to stay here again but next time for whale season. The Aboline Lodge is definitely the perfect place to stay for whale watching or any time when you need to relax and be pampered. "
