"Nice enough stay. I stayed here mainly for the gym and pool facilities whilst working in the area. I had a front room with a balcony which had a cup full of smoked cigarettes in like an ashtray left on the floor of it. Room was clean enough, bathroom had long strands of hair on the tiles over the bath still. I’ve stayed here before and would still stay again."

"A beautiful hotel in a beautiful setting. It is an enormous building and can take four minutes to walk from one end to the other, usually up and down a lot of stairs! Didn't realise that rooms are only made up every three days, unless you request otherwise. Disappointing for a four star hotel. Will know in future!"

"Very good location, handy for nice restaurants, pubs and museums. Quiet/safe area. Beautiful entrance/staircase in the hotel plus the dining area we used for breakfast was equally impressive. The full English breakfast was nice although poached eggs were overcooked. We were not waiting long, but I think that we had been forgotten about as breakfast overall was tasty but not piping hot. As well as the cooked breakfast there were self service cereals, toast etc. No pastries, fruit or cooked...
