"It was a very good experience a hotel des roches. We loved the staff in particular. The rooms needs to be updated but overall the location is so special with a great view and central location that we didn’t care. Probably the best stay we had during our trip in the Loire valley."

"I arrived at 11pm on Saturday for a 1 night stay to find the hotel shut up and nobody answering at reception . I waiting for 30 mins and still nobody arrived so I had to find an alternative . Very inconvenient "

"This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. They have no coffee in the room, no laundry service. We had to check in through the restaurant since there is never anyone at the reception. At check out, we had to leave early (6am) and there was no one there again, he asked us to wait till 8 am even when we told him we had a flight. We were never even informed that reception is not available 24x7 which is the norm at 4 star hotels. Not a pleasant stay."

"This is a lovely old mansion with beautiful lush green grounds. The rooms have classic furnishings, high ceilings and give you a great feel of period living. It’s walking distance to all attractions. The restaurant serves excellent French cuisine. "
