"We recently spent 6 nights at Occidental Las Canteras and the Hotel did indeed meet our needs: Location is great. You are a few steps off the Beach Las Canteras which is a gorgeous yellow sand with a long promenade full of bars and restaurants. The Hotel, although sells their stay as a resort, has no swimming pool neither provides beach service such as towels nor umbrellas/chairs. "This hotel is in a great location, very central and close to lots of restaurants & shops. It's literally less than a minute's walk to the beach and promenade and not too far from the main bus station. There's also a large shopping mall about ten minutes walk away at the harbour. "Walking holiday Camino de Santiago de Gran Canaria. This was second night of our walk it was an excellent place to stay and the Spa facilities were a treat for our tired legs. We ate a the bar cafe which served a good selection of food at a reasonable price. Great views from the room bar and spa"

"This property is well located being 2 blocks from the beach, but not too close to the noise and hubbub. Restaurants and shops are close, and there is a nice bakery a short walk away. The apartment is well laid out and efficient. We appreciated the modern AC as well. We had a minor problem with the plumbing and the hosts were helpful and quickly addressed it. We had a rental car so we also appreciated the underground parking too. We would stay here again. "

"The hotel itself is quite unique in style, we had a standard room and it was very spacious and included a comfortable seating area where you could watch TV which had quite a few English channels. Unfortunately the standard rooms are at the back right above the delivery/loading bay area and you are awoken by the deliveries every day any time between 4.30 and 6am.
