"If you come here for a view, you will not get disappointed. Whoever designed this property, did an excellent job. If you come here for peace and quiet, don’t count on it. 5* experience it was not for sure in terms of staff, the only ones I would like to praise are the filipino waiting staff at the buffet services. "The room was a bit cramped, with the desk chair bumping up against one of the beds, and too few mains outlets. But it was fine for a brief stay, and the staff was very courteous, even preparing me a takeaway breakfast because I had to leave in the early morning."

"Had a lovely stay at Hotel Maria, the staff were all lovely and welcoming, with excellent English. The location is great...10 min walk to the town square and some great pubs close by. The breakfast was a small but good selection of different items and I never left the breakfast room feeling hungry."

"Lovely hotel about 5mins to a shopping centre and just a bit further to the main shopping area which has the train station at the end of the street. The double room we had was very clean which was serviced every day and the bathroom had a hairdryer. There was also slippers and bathrobe. There is a kettle and bottled water in the room but there was only 2 tea bags (Herbal & Green Teas) and sugar. If you want other types of tea and Coffee and/or milk, I would advise you take your own. "It's one of the best hotels accessible from zilina. The room is spacious and nice, but not soundproofed. Sounds of conversation and movement in the room next door can be felt as vibrations. The bed is old and the mattress is not level, so it is tilted or sagged. There is no free water provided in the room, so be sure to prepare it in advance. The minibar is also empty."

"No air conditioning in the room, no bin in the room, no kettle in the room The only positive I can say is about the staff that prepared breakfast every morning , so polite ever so helpful with their smiles on their faces . "We stayed at this property due to being stranded in Ostrava during the Central Europe floods while in transit to Krakow. It wouldn’t be our first choice of hotels but any port in a storm. The staff were helpful but the property is probably 2 star at best "
