"Friendly staff, great breakfast. The hotel was fine, but a bit ran down considering the price tag. The parking at the hotel is not included in the room price and costs 5 EUR / day. There's free parking on the street, but you will have to walk a couple of blocks."

"What can I say , the owners went above and beyond, as were the rest of the staff very welcoming and really made me feel as if I was home . Both dinner and breakfast were excellent . My room was superb , it was quiet and comfortable. I was worried about the proximity to the motorway , My room was on the back of the hotel, but even on the front side you could not hear the road with the windows shut, and it was just background noise with them open, and the views from the front side are amazing....

"We booked a last minute overnight stay 2 hours before arriving . From arriving at the hotel to be met by luts the standard never dropped ! Exceptional experience and the food in the restaurant was out of this world ! Well done to everyone invoked , we will be back one day !! Just a long way from perth. Australia "

"Das Hotel ist nicht veraltet, sondern in positivem Sinne altehrwürdig. Ein sehr schönes Hotel mit einem tollen Wellness-Bereich. Mein Zimmer war groß und gemütlich und der junge Mann an der Rezeption war sehr freundlich. Was ärgerlich war: Am Tag des Checkouts wurde mein Zimmer bereits vor meinem Checkout gereinigt und meine restlichen Sachen an der Rezeption hinterlegt. Unangenehm… "

"We spent five nights in this unique hotel with a fascinating history. It is set by the River Lahn in the beautiful spa town of Bad Ems. The facilities such as the thermal pool were superb and we made full use of them. The staff could not have been more helpful, the room was really clean and comfortable and the food excellent. It is unashamedly old-fashioned but is full of character and we had a superb holiday there. Highly recommended!"

"We were unfortunate to have gotten a room above the restaurant, where until late at night a party took place. This room should not have been rented out, certainly not as a 4-star hotel room. All the lady at reception could offer was the remark that they could of course not leave the hotel empty when a party takes place. Also a minibar was missing in the room. The room was simply not worth the money and this was a once but never again experience. The two other nights and most of the other staff...
