"This is one of our favourite hotels and was our fourth time staying there. The location is excellent- right in the centre of town- but peaceful. The staff are v friendly and helpful; great breakfast; on site parking which is particular helpful in La Rochelle. A wonderful spa. Generally a lovely place to relax"

We had a room in the annexe which was good because at the time there were extensive renovations taking place to the exterior of the main building which was shrouded in green fabric. Internally it was renovated I believe last year to a very high standard and was modern whilst retaining many original features. "A really beautiful hotel with plenty of spaces to relax. Very cosy and the room was beautifully decorated. The staff were really welcoming, friendly and spoke fluent English. The breakfast was delicious and the atmosphere of the whole place was relaxed. We paid for the parking, which was well worth it. It’s in a private, gated area and you can keep your push bikes there too. Highly recommend. "

"READ ALL THE REVIEWS - ALL TRUE - DO NOT GO NEAR THIS PLACE! They have taken over £500 out of my current account and £400 from my credit card account. No explanation, won't take calls. I paid in full and used no services - THEY WON'T TAKE MY CALL OR RESPOND TO EMAILS. these people are dangerously corrupt. Literally, the worst place I have ever stayed in. You have to pay for sheets and towels!!! There is no air con or fans in the huts. The place looks like a POW camp Staff are exceptionally rude...

"I was not aware of the £425 deposit we had to put down! The receptionist and colleagues were rude, even dismissive at times. The cabin was clean but univiting, got good we didn’t have a cat as we wouldn’t been able to swing it!! Felt under pressure all the time in case something got slightly damaged. We then had to clean out the cabin to get deposit back!! It was also in the shade so I didn’t feel like we were on holiday!! "
