"Basically a nice ski lodge, for both good and bad. Lobby and fireplace are great to hang out in, and views are as spectacular as expected. Rooms are spartan, but that’s both Swiss and ski lodge. "What a beautiful place to stay!! Right on the beautiful lake and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. Also 5 minutes from Interlaken West which you walk along a quiet road to get to the hotel - very nice since the town itself can be busy. Best time to go is for New Year’s as they have a huge festival the 1st and a parade the 2nd. 5 minutes from a very cute cafe called Velo, and very close to the Victoria hotel. Reception was fabulous. "The only thing negative I can say is that the hotel held an event at my time of stay, and every floor smelled like cigarettes. Our room that night smelled like crazy. But amazing hotel, amazing staff, amazing views and an amazing time. "

"The room was spacious and very cosy with carpet floors and a very wide balcony. We were there during winter and the central heating was so warm. Staff was friendly and their breakfast was very much needed, as it would have been inconvenient to look for breakfast on those cold mornings. Btw, even though the forecast could be sunny up in Grindelwald, it’s always foggy all day in Interlaken during winter. So choosing a hotel close to the train stations or bus stops is a must."

"Nice, clean hotel right on the river. We arrived late and left early so didn’t experience much of the town, but we walked to a restaurant and it did seem like it would be a very nice place to stay. Mixed reviews on the pillows from my group. If you like soft, down pillows, you’ll have the best sleep of your life. If you need some substance to support your neck, you’re going to have a problem here. "

"What a beautiful place to stay!! Right on the beautiful lake and walking distance to all the shops and restaurants in town. Also 5 minutes from Interlaken West which you walk along a quiet road to get to the hotel - very nice since the town itself can be busy. Best time to go is for New Year’s as they have a huge festival the 1st and a parade the 2nd. 5 minutes from a very cute cafe called Velo, and very close to the Victoria hotel. Reception was fabulous. Gave you a free drink voucher to the restaurant next door (not sure if just for New Year’s). Also gave a transportation card if wanted but we walked everywhere. Then offered a bottle of water upon check out for our travels. Overall great location and place to stay! "
