"Dining in is difficult everyday at least two large tourist coaches - so meals are not relaxed and intimate. The pool is tiny. Watch out for the musicians upstairs and getting locked in to tips. Otherwise staff were friendly, polite and helpful."

"The hotel was clean and well furnished. We had a balcony room which had fabulous view of the river, a great place for watching nature around you. It was very peaceful. The pool area is good with separate pool for toddlers. This also overlooks the river. The staff were excellent. All polite and helpful which you find a lot in Sri Lanka. "We stayed one night at The Summit in Kandy during our trip to Sri Lanka. The places is maybe even more beautiful than the pictures, the rooms have incredible views over the city, plus they are modern and super clean (and A/C works well and it is quiet). Yes, the place is not in the center of Kandy, but you can very easily get a tuk tuk that will take to the center and back. Breakfast is very nice, especially the fruits and the Sri Lankan dishes (if you are up for a salty meal in the morning)....

"We only had one night in Kandy on this trip. The Radh is positioned within a couple of minutes walk of the sacred tooth temple and so was ideal. The staff were all very.pleasent and helpful, right from check-in until we checked out. The rooms and facilities were great. Shame we didnt have longer to enjoy this wonderful hotel. "

"When you arrive the door opens to a magnificent view of the pool and the river behind it. The staff was great, the food was probably our favorite during the first part of our trip. Would highly recommend this place. Make sure to visit the Temple of the Tooth and try out some local fruits!"

"Sehr schönes Hotel in einer alten Teefabrik. Herausragend war die Freundlichkeit des Personals. Das Essen war herrvorragend und die Zimmer sehr sauber. Wir bekamen eine Führung in der Teefabrik wo uns der Teeprozess erklärt und gezeigt wurde. Auch eine Wanderung wurde angeboten. Alles in allem nur zu empfehlen!! Bei der Hinfahrt ist es besser nach dem Weg zu fragen. Google maps führt woanders hin. "

Serene spot in Kandy
