"Staff and public areas were excellent and very comfortable. Unfortunately the grounds are in need of TLC which is a shame. The hire of a skip for a day to remove all the rubbish and fishing debris would help. The bedroom accommodation needs a lot of paintwork and updating. I've slept in more comfortable beds in Premier Inns! Housekeeping was a bit erratic. The quality of the food at breakfast was mediocre. However it's perfect for dogs and the staff were great."

"We stayed for 2 nights. On arrival, the reception staff were extremely welcoming and friendly. We went to our room which was a king-size sea view. The view is even better than any picture will have you believe. Breathtaking. Loved having a little balcony with comfortable chairs and just enjoying the view and silence. The room was spotless. "We had a great time in Melfort!. We love it, comfortable, clean, spacious, great option to stay with kids. There is a playground and swimming pool. As reception has specific hours open, they take care to send us a mail explaining how to access to our house if it was close. Beautiful the road to go to Melfort, one of the best ones in Scotland. .
